PureView Announces Justin Murgel as New CEO

Helena, Montana – PureView Health Center, a leading health center serving the Lewis and Clark County area, is pleased to announce Justin Murgel as its new CEO, effective March 20, 2023.


Murgel brings years of experience in the healthcare industry and has a proven track record of successful leadership and supporting quality outcomes for patients. He has held several positions at PacificSource, where he was instrumental in driving growth and delivering innovative healthcare solutions.


In his new role at PureView, Murgel will be responsible for continuing their mission of providing quality, patient-centered, accessible healthcare with comfort. Working closely with leadership, Murgel will continue PureView’s work of providing integrated medical, dental, behavioral healthcare and pharmacy services to nearly 9,000 individuals in Lewis and Clark as well as surrounding counties. He joins at a time when PureView received the esteemed Employer of Choice award.


Commenting on the appointment, Interim CEO Laurie Francis, who will remain with the company during this transition, said, "I am delighted to welcome Justin to PureView. His extensive experience in the healthcare industry, coupled with his exceptional leadership skills, make him the ideal candidate to continue PureView’s legacy. Murgel added, "I am excited to be joining PureView as its new CEO. Murgel holds a degree from the University of Montana - Western. He is an accomplished healthcare leader and has been recognized for his contributions to the industry. He is the Lewis and Clark City-County Board of Health chair and plans to remain on the board until his second term ends in 2024.

Join us as we explore ways to build a healthier, happier community—one conversation at a time. SPARK Sessions are held the second Wednesday of every month, beginning in January 2025 and run through May 2025. Here's a list of our first two upcoming SPARK Sessions for 2025: SPARK Session 1: Healthy Eating and Lifestyle Management Overview: Join PureView Health Center to explore obesity as a chronic condition. We'll address weight bias and share practical lifestyle changes you can begin today, helping you make healthy choices and build lasting habits for a healthier you. This program is free and open to the public. Date: Wednesday, January 8, 2025 Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm Location: Helena Main Branch, Lewis & Clark Public Library, Large Community Room Audience: Adults SPARK Session 2: Arthritis 101 Overview: Learn the basics of managing arthritis, including symptoms, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to improve joint health and mobility. Presented by Helena Orthopedic Clinic. This program is free and open to the public. Therefore, all PureView locations, including our in-house pharmacies, will be closed to the public every Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
