PureView’s mission is to provide the communities we serve with quality, patient-centered, accessible healthcare with comfort.

PureView Board members are crucial to supporting and living out our mission. Our Board is also special because it consists of members of our community, with more than half being PureView patients. This allows our Board to reflect and represent the real needs of our patients and community. The Board meets once a month in the early evening the first Wednesday of each month. We also ask that our Board members stay informed about the organization’s mission, services, policies and programs. As a Board member, you can expect to serve on committees or task forces and take on special assignments, keep others in the community informed about PureView, stay up to date with developments throughout the organization, and most importantly ensure that our organization complies with legal and fiduciary requirements.

Board Member FAQs:

What is the PureView Board?

The PureView Health Center Board of Directors supports staff and providers’ efforts to provide quality, patient-centered, accessible healthcare with comfort. The Board is made up of members of Lewis and Clark, Broadwater and Jefferson County communities and includes patients we see in our clinic. Working with the CEO, COO, and CFO, this team plans where PureView is going in the future and works to keep us succeeding in the present.

What does the PureView Board do?

Members of the Board are required to review our mission, vision, and values; as well as engage in development and maintenance of the annual budget, strategic goals, and governance for each PureView location. Board members can also be part of a subcommittee to monitor clinical goals and outcomes, assist with strategic planning, reviewing the monthly finances and much more! Working together with staff and leadership, members help meet the needs of our employees as well as our patients.

Can I join the Board?

Of course! PureView welcomes everyone interested to apply for the Board. As a federally qualified health center (FQHC), our Board is required to reflect our patient population. As an example, if PureView’s patient population is 65% women and 25% men, the composition of the Board must reflect that. If your application isn’t one that fits a current Board opening, we’ll keep it on file for a year and reach out when another opening comes available.

What’s expected of Board members?

Board members are required to be familiar with the operations, regulations, and administration of PureView Health Center as well as financial information provided to them by staff. Members are also asked to keep the community informed about PureView, stay up-to-date with current healthcare trends, and ensure PureView meets its regulatory and financial responsibilities. The Board meets once a month for an evening Board meeting. Board members need to be present for most of the Board meetings throughout the year. In addition, there are committees of the Board that Board members can get involved in, and meet on a regular basis.
