Cynthia Alarcon was hired by PureView Health Center in the summer of 2014. She comes to PureView from Holy Rosary Healthcare in Miles City, Montana. Cynthia graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. She studied at Flathead Valley Community College for her LPN and then Rocky Mountain College for her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. She has previously worked as a field biologist, naturalist, whitewater guide, ski patroller and EMT, which piqued her interest in studying medicine. She works at the main clinic as well as at the Healthcare for the Homeless program at God’s Love Homeless Shelter in downtown Helena. Her professional interests include rural medicine and improving access to healthcare in underserved populations. She became a PA to directly improve the access to quality care in Montana’s small communities and she enjoys community health for that reason.
