Job Posting – Physician Assistant
Under the general administrative direction of the Medical Director, this position provides primary and preventive health care services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides primary and preventive health care services
- Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures
- Performs therapeutic procedures; including but not limited to injections, immunizations, suturing and infection management
- Administers or orders diagnostic tests
- Interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs; documents physical findings
- Formulates plan and prognosis based on patients’ conditions
- Discusses case with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan
- Provides health maintenance guidelines to patients
- Submits health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by physician
- Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures
- Sets and monitors performance metrics
- Takes patient complaints
- Coordinates care with other providers and nursing staff
- Responds to patient telephone calls, messages, and other paperwork in a timely fashion
- Records patient medical data in EHR appropriately
- Participates in quality improvement meetings and initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications – Experience & Education
The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Two (2) years family practice health care experience.
- Must be a National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants certified and have a current Physician Assistant license to practice in the State of Montana
Special Requirements
- Current Montana Nurse Practitioner license
- Current BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification encouraged
- Experience with treatment of acute and chronic medical problems, as well as comfort with triage of emergencies
- May be required to work outside of normal weekly schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,012.80 – $103,750.40 per year
