Job Posting – Nurse Practitioner
Under the general administrative direction of the Medical Director, this position provides primary and preventive health care services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- This position provides primary and preventive health care services
- Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs
- Documents physical findings
- Formulates plan and prognosis based on patients’ conditions
- Discusses case with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan
- Submits health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by physician
- Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures
- Coordinates care with other providers and staff; responds to patient telephone calls
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications – Experience & Education
The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:
- Graduate degree in nursing, certification as a family nurse practitioner (FNP-C)
- Two (2) years family practice health care experience.
- Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner, eligible to practice in the State of Montana.
- Special Requirements
Current Montana Nurse Practitioner license - Current BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification encouraged
- Experience with treatment of acute and chronic medical problems, as well as comfort with triage of emergencies
- May be required to work outside of normal weekly schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,012.80 – $103,750.40 per year
